Teotihuacan
Basilica and Tlatelolco (Private)
Your private tour will start at a small place with a deep history, not only of the city, but of the country, Tlatelolco. This is the place where Tenochtitlán fell, where one of the first parishes of the New Spain was built as well as the first apartment buildings in Mexico City; this is why this place is called “The square of the three cultures”. We will find three architectural types that represent three stages of the country’s history; it is unique.
Next, we will visit another deeply significant place in Mexican ideology and the entire continent: The Basilica of Guadalupe. It is a place with more than one Basilica, several chapels and so much more, a place with a lot of meaning, sanctuary of faith and great architectural styles.
We will leave Mexico City to go to the stunning Teotihuacán; the most important city in Mesoamerica at the beginning of our era; not only at the architectural level, but anthropological.
You will experience the unforgettable sensation of climbing pyramids, touring neighborhoods, observing murals that bring us closer to the locals.
We will also visit an obsidian chrystal rock workshop, that, in a few words, brought technology and opulence to this great city. You will learn how the sacred drink “pulque”, which comes from a type of agave called “agave”, is produced. We will taste different Tequilas and Mezcales.
Teotihuacan is Mexico and Mexico is Teotihuacan.
