Mexico City
Basilica and Tlatelolco
We will start at a small place with a deep history, not only of the city, but of the country, Tlatelolco. This is the place where Tenochtitlán fell, where one of the first parishes of the New Spain was built as well as the first apartment buildings in Mexico City; this is why this place is called “The square of the three cultures”.
We will find three architectural types that represent three stages of the country’s history; it is unique.
Next, we will visit another deeply significant place in Mexican ideology and the entire continent: The Basilica of Guadalupe. It is a place with more than one Basilica, several chapels and so much more, a place with a lot of meaning, sanctuary of faith and great architectural styles.
